Batch resize photos in your browser with this free tool, which needs no sign-up. Add up to 100 photos at once, choose a size from the “Output size” menu, and every photo is resized in one pass. The menu groups sizes for Etsy, eBay, Amazon, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop and Whatnot and Vinted, and includes a “Custom size…” option. Photos are read and processed inside the page and are never uploaded. Each result card shows the original size, the output size and the file size, so you can check every photo before you download it. Choose the marketplace group first, because the group decides which checks run on each result.

How to use the Batch Resize Photos for Listings

  1. Open the “Output size” menu and pick the marketplace you sell on. The default, “Square, 1600 × 1600 px”, is our own working choice, not a marketplace rule.
  2. If your platform is not listed, choose “Custom size…” and enter a Width (px) and a Height (px).
  3. Under “How the photo fits the frame”, choose “Keep the whole photo (add background around it)” or “Fill the frame (cut off the overflow)”.
  4. If you chose the fill option, set “Crop focus” to Centre, Top, Bottom, Left or Right.
  5. Pick a background colour. Transparent areas are filled with it, so the output never has transparency.
  6. Choose a file type. JPEG is the default, and PNG and WebP are also offered.
  7. Optional: set “Keep each file under” in KB or MB to limit file size.
  8. Click “Choose photos” or drop your files on the box. You can add up to 100 photos per batch.
  9. Check each card for its “Original” size, “Output size”, “File” size and any notes or checks.
  10. Click “Download” on each card, or click “Download ZIP (first 10)” when two or more photos are ready.

Click “Clear all” to empty the list before you start a new batch. The tool recalculates every photo whenever an option changes, so you can adjust a setting and watch the cards update. To test your settings without a file, click “Try a sample photo” first.

What size should I batch resize photos to for a marketplace?

Pick the marketplace in the “Output size” menu, and the tool uses the sizes grouped under that name. Marketplaces that publish a pixel size have their numbers listed here, and the marketplace pages on this site say what each help page states, with the date it was read. Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot and Vinted publish no pixel size, so the sizes shown for them are our own working choices, not rules.

How does the tool fit a photo into a square frame?

It works in one of two ways, chosen under “How the photo fits the frame”. “Keep the whole photo (add background around it)” scales the photo so all of it shows, and fills the spare space with your background colour. For example, a 4,000 × 3,000 photo in a 1,600 × 1,600 frame is drawn at 1,600 × 1,200 px, with 200 px bars above and below.

“Fill the frame (cut off the overflow)” crops the photo to fill the whole frame. The “Crop focus” setting decides which part is kept. With Centre, a 4,000 × 3,000 photo keeps a 3,000 × 3,000 px area starting at x 500 and y 0, then scales it to 1,600 × 1,600 px.

Why does a result card show a percentage?

A card shows a percentage when a photo had to be enlarged to reach the output size. An enlarged photo has no extra detail, so the percentage tells you how far the picture was stretched. “Never enlarge small photos” stops the tool from making a photo bigger than its original size.

How does “Keep each file under” work?

It sets a file size limit in KB or MB. For JPEG and WebP files, the tool lowers the quality until the file fits. If quality alone is not enough, it shrinks the pixels in steps. PNG files cannot be shrunk this way, so the limit is not applied to PNG, and the tool says so on the card.

Why does the marketplace I choose change the checks?

Each marketplace has its own checks, so the tool runs the checks for the one you pick. For example, eBay has a 500 px minimum and a 12 MB limit, and those checks run on the results when eBay is selected.

Frequently asked questions

Can I batch resize photos without uploading them?

Yes. Photos are read and processed inside the browser, and they are never uploaded.

How many photos can I resize at once?

You can add up to 100 photos per batch, using “Choose photos” or by dropping files on the box.

Does the resized file keep the original camera, date and location data?

No. Saving a photo through the tool writes a new file without the original’s EXIF data, which includes camera, date and location.

What happens to transparent areas in a PNG?

Transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose, so the output never has transparency.

Why won’t my HEIC photo open?

HEIC photos from an iPhone may not open outside Safari. If yours does not, export it as JPEG first.

Are there set sizes for Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, Depop and Whatnot and Vinted?

These platforms publish no pixel size. The sizes in the menu are our own working choices, not rules.

Can I download all my results as one ZIP file?

The free “Download ZIP (first 10)” button holds the first 10 results. Whole-batch ZIPs are a planned Pro feature, with a waitlist at /pro/. Nothing paid exists yet.
